SMS Consent & Messaging Terms
Last updated July 12, 2026
RevelPost sends event text messages on behalf of event hosts. This page documents exactly how a recipient consents to receive those messages, what they contain, and how to stop them. It is the consent flow referenced in our A2P 10DLC campaign registration.
Who sends, and to whom
The sender is RevelPost, sending on behalf of an individual event host (for example, a person hosting a birthday party or wedding). Recipients are that host’s own invited guests. RevelPost never purchases, rents, or sends to acquired phone lists, and there is no marketing or promotional texting.
How consent is collected
Consent is collected through two paths, both described here:
- Host-collected consent. When a host builds an event’s guest list on revelpost.com, they add the mobile numbers of guests they personally know. Before any text is sent, the host sees and affirms this statement at the point of sending: “By sending, you confirm each guest agreed to receive event messages from you at the contact information you provided.” The host is responsible for having each guest’s permission, as required by our Terms of Service.
- Guest self opt-in. A guest who opens their invitation can enter their own mobile number on the RSVP form to receive event reminders and updates — an affirmative action by the guest to be contacted.
What recipients receive
Messages are event invitations, RSVP reminders, and event updates (changes to date, time, or venue) for the specific event a guest was invited to. Every message identifies the host and event. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
