SMS Consent & Messaging Terms

RevelPost sends event text messages on behalf of event hosts. This page documents exactly how a recipient consents to receive those messages, what they contain, and how to stop them. It is the consent flow referenced in our A2P 10DLC campaign registration. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information — consent is given directly to RevelPost, and mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who sends, and to whom

The sender is RevelPost, sending on behalf of an individual event host (for example, a person hosting a birthday party or wedding). Recipients are that host’s own invited guests. RevelPost never purchases, rents, or sends to acquired phone lists, and there is no marketing or promotional texting.

How consent is collected

Consent is collected through two paths, both described here:

Opt-in call-to-action (screenshots)

Because both consent points are inside a host’s private event, here are screenshots of the exact opt-in call-to-action a host and a guest see, with the required disclosures.

Guest RSVP form: the mobile number field with SMS consent disclosure
Guest self opt-in.On the RSVP form, beneath the mobile-number field, the guest sees: “By providing a mobile number, you agree to receive event text messages from RevelPost (reminders and updates) for this event. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.” The disclosure links to these SMS terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Host send flow: the consent affirmation shown above the Send button
Host-collected consent.Directly at the Send button, the host affirms: “By sending, you confirm each guest agreed to receive event messages from RevelPost on your behalf at the contact info you provided.”

What recipients receive

Messages are event invitations, RSVP reminders, and event updates (changes to date, time, or venue) for the specific event a guest was invited to. Every message identifies the host and event. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop all messages immediately, and START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email support@revelpost.com.

Your privacy

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details, and our Terms of Service for host responsibilities.
